very good vehicle, clean, economical to run, did not enjoy waiting on the side of the road for a replacement vehicle when our blew a clutch but these things happen. Did not like the replacement VW vehicle.
This was a great camper. I was expecting something a bit less quality.
The vehicle was great it felt like you were driving a car, comfortable handled the road conditions really well,an we felt very safe so yes we were very happy.
Ok by and large, but fridge was smelling badly (despite us cleaning it completely 2 times), so we had to wrap everything in plastic to keep it from picking up the odour. Vehicle manual was missing from the glove box.
I will describe what happened on our trip with the van. We did have the most delightful time and had a most enjoyable holiday. But we wouldnt get the same van again.
I had no idea even looking at the picture of the van what it was actually going to be like to sit in it for long trips. I wished we had actually gone and seen a vehicle like this in australia before the trip.
The vehicle was to be used for 3 adults on this occasion. I think it should be stressed to others that the middle seat is suitable strictly for a child as it was most uncomfortable for an adult; it was narrow and high.
We returned to the pickup place a couple of times. The mudguard was loose and we went back to have that tightened and then we went back to ask for another doona instead of the extra package of pillows that they gave us instead. There was no inventory record of what was in the van that could be ticked off at the end to ensure all items came back!! We kept banging our head on the entry door - there should be a yellow warning sticker reminding the passengers the entry point is low and to MIND YOUR HEAD. We discovered at our first point of call that the water tank had a hole in it so we couldnt fill it with water at all during our trip. The back window of the van may have had its window replaced because it leaked in heavy rain and wet the mattress and sheets -- the seal wasnt good. We had to dry these out on a few occasions.
The van being extra high would catch the wind gusts that we experienced during our whole trip in the South Island. This needed an experienced driver to control especially with oncoming traffic.
Other than that..... we would do it again and again with ANOTHER TYPE OF VAN!
