7 Reviews for Britz Explorer

We were happy with the motorhome provide. The front curtains could have been a better fit and it was a bit rattley, other wisw all ok. Ran well
I picked up my van in Christchurch, I got a Maui van instead of a Britz .. with no back seats and table in it, only a permanent bed in the back which I never used. The first 11 days out of my I month hire I had terrible engine problems, I did feel when I first got it there was something not right, And while I was driving it. It began to shut down for no reason, I would check everything and all seemed good, most of the time I would put up with the van stopping every 20 - 50 klms.. turning the key of and then on would rectify it.. Eventually I reached Te Anau and had it checked out and was told the electrics caused this problem .. and felt helpless .. The Mechanic said he rang Discovery in Queenstown and they would send a new van down to do a swap.. which I was so grateful for... so late at night the next day in the pouring rain my van arrived on the back of a low loader in the freezing cold night ..after doing a transfer in the rain ..I was on my way again .. and had a fantastic rest of my trip in NZ .. I would like to thank Queenstown for the great service to get the van to me .. The poor driver had got lost on the way to Te Anau .. I would highly recommend Discovery for their great service to helping me out when I needed help far away.. I will love to hire a van again from them ..
Awesome but could not get tv to work
We had everything available to make our holiday enjoyable. All was clean, tidy and presentable.
Motor home drove well, clean and tidy, but would not want that model again as bathroom combination difficult to use. Very economical on diesel.
For the 2 of us we found the vehicle a bit larger than what we needed but we had an awesome holiday driving the to of the south island round windy roads the Britz travelled well.
